Welcome to another episode of the Frequent Apostolic Questions podcast. My name Dakota Sutcliffe and this is the podcast about getting answers to your bible questions.
That’s right, you send in your questions via email and we will read them on the show! Or, if you don’t think emailing is good enough, record yourself asking a question and use ge.tt to have me download it! I would prefer .wav or .mp3 files.

What bit Paul while he was on the island of Melita? Where did it come from?
Acts 28:1-6
1 And when they were escaped, then they knew that the island was called Melita.
2 And the barbarous people shewed us no little kindness: for they kindled a fire, and received us every one, because of the present rain, and because of the cold.
3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
4 And when the barbarians saw the venomous beast hang on his hand, they said among themselves, No doubt this man is a murderer, whom, though he hath escaped the sea, yet vengeance suffereth not to live.
5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
6 Howbeit they looked when he should have swollen, or fallen down dead suddenly: but after they had looked a great while, and saw no harm come to him, they changed their minds, and said that he was a god.
It was a viper. It came from the heat. Someone may wonder, “What specifically is a viper?â€. A viper is a venomous snake. Basically, Viperidae is a generalisation of many venomous snakes. It’s not a name like “copperhead†or “rattlesnakeâ€, though both of those are considered a viper. You can check out that link to get a more in depth idea from wikipedia.
How long was Jesus in the wilderness fasting?
Matthew 4:1-2
1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungred.
He was in the wilderness for 40 days and 40 nights, fasting. I also think it was interesting how the people of Israel were in the wilderness for 40 years until they were able to go into the promised land. Also how it rained for 40 days and forty nights when the flood came and when Jesus was risen, he stayed with them for 40 days and spoke with them regarding the kingdom of God (Genesis 7:4 and Acts 1:3 respectively). Just some thing to think about :)
What kind of tree did Absalom’s head get caught in?
2 Samuel 18:9-10
9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a great oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away.
10 And a certain man saw it, and told Joab, and said, Behold, I saw Absalom hanged in an oak.
The tree was a great oak. It was a big tree.
Bible Study Segment
A new segment for this week, something I may consider doing more in the future. This segment is the Bible Study segment. It is a segment from which a recent or fairly recent bible study has occurred and we were able to record it.
One thing to keep in mind is, I didn’t bring my audio recorder so the audio is not as good as the rest of the podcast.
What does it mean to stand, asked by Brother Joseph
The other fellow-shippers here are, Sister Marissa, Brother Austin, and Sister Vanessa. Brother Joe is the one doing the teaching.
**Please Note: There is a lot of extra noise in the background because of the children.**
