Grab Bag, up and Adam!

It’s the end of the week and the Grab Bag time again!

The first question:
Who was Adam?

Genesis 2:7
And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Adam was the first man to become a living soul.

Luke 3:38
Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of Adam, which was the son of God.

He was also a son of God.

What does it mean when the scripture says “Let us make man in our own image” in Genesis 1:26?

Genesis 1:26
And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

The scripture states in Ephesians 1:11 the following:
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:

He was counseling his own will, regarding the occurrence in Genesis.

Of light and darkness, which was there first?

Genesis 1:2-3
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Darkness was there first.

An update to the Grab Bag is coming soon. We will be switching to Mondays for when the Grab Bag will be posted. This will give anyone who has a question about the grab bag to be able to get it in before the podcast episode is posted. I would like to get the questions in the podcast as well.
