Grab Bag, Zombies?

Matthew 27

50Jesus, when he had cried again with a loud voice, yielded up the ghost.51And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;52And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,53And came out of the graves after his resurrection, and went into the holy city, and appeared unto many.

Were they zombies? I doubt it, zombies have been known to eat flesh and repeat the word “brains” over and over. Right? Which neither of those attributes are mentioned here. This is a little deeper than I thought when I first read it, because it talks about “after his resurrection”. So this particular occurrence didn’t happen until after the third day of his death. This is interesting, though I have read it many times, I haven’t noticed this particular part. Grab Bag the Third

Here is your weekly Grab Bag!

What happened to Elijah?

And it came to pass, when the LORD would take up Elijah into heaven by a whirlwind, that Elijah went with Elisha from Gilgal. -2 Kings 2:1

And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven. -2 Kings 2:11

Did unicorn’s ever exist?

Will the unicorn be willing to serve thee, or abide by thy crib? Canst thou bind the unicorn with his band in the furrow? or will he harrow the valleys after thee? -Job 39:9-10

Note: Yes, though it seems it was more like a rhino, rather than the mythical horse. So they still do exist, to make things more clear. Numbers 23:22 also talks about the strength of a unicorn.

When was the sun created?

And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. -Genesis 1:14-16

Grab Bag number two!

Here is the second Grab Bag! I haven’t had very many questions, so I am putting questions up which I think would be relevant to the Grab Bag.

Is there more than one Heaven?

I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

-2 Corinthians 12:2

Note: we know there are at least 3 heaven’s from the above scripture.

Does God have a heart?

But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

-1 Samuel 13:14

What did all of the animals eat in the beginning?

And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.

-Genesis 1:30

Grab Bag! The First

Here is the first of the weekly Grab Bags!

What is Faith?

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. -Hebrews11:1

What is “the kingdom of God” in Matthew 6:33?

For the kingdom of God is not meat and drink; but righteousness, and peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. -Romans 14:17

What pleases God?

But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. -Hebrews 11:6

Starting this site

Welcome to Frequent Apostolic Questions.com. My name is Dakota and I am currently working on this site. The name here is a play off of Frequently Asked Questions (if you hadn’t gotten that already) and was God inspired. Click here for more information on the name. This website is what the Lord will use through me to connect to people who want to hear and read answers to their questions about the bible. This place will not answer specifically what God has in plan for you, nor will this place tell you what to do with your life. Though the answers you get may guide you, my intent is not to guide you. Want an example? One of the biggest questions people in general ask, “Where did God come from?”. The answer is simple and straight forward in Habakkuk 3:3 it states as follows:

“God came from Teman, and the Holy One from mount Paran. Selah. His glory covered the heavens, and the earth was full of his praise.” -Habakkuk 3:3

Now, we all know God is omnipotent AND was before all things (Psalm 90:2), however, this is a scriptural answer to the question of “Where God came from”. You can share this with anyone!

The idea here is to give scriptural answers to every question. It isn’t about what I think or what I feel. This is about getting answers to your questions. This website is not up for debate, nor will debating occur. If I don’t know the answer, then I will be studying diligently to find an answer. I would do this because not only do you have an unanswered question but then at that same point I would have an unanswered question. There are so many things that I have not learned, and that’s ok! I expect to learn in this experience. I say that because, iron sharpeneth iron, right? (Proverbs 27:17)

One thing you should be aware of, I am a strict user of the King James Version. It’s old English, but it is the best English. :)

Last thing, I encourage everyone to study the bible and find answers for themselves (2 Timothy 2:15), this will be a place to share experiences as well. I will be working on a forum for people to share experiences… part of the long to-do list.

If you have any questions or comments, then please email me at Dakota[at]FrequentApostolicQuestions[dot]com or go to the Contact Page. Let the Lord be Magnified!
