2 Timothy 3:16-17
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.
Why? For doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness. :) Thanks for the good question Olive!
The old testament is what the Israelites/Jewish people went through. I wouldn’t say it’s for the Israelites, though the law part was for them, when it was given to Moses. However, there is still doctrine, reproof, correction and instruction in righteousness in the old testament.
One thing to keep in mind is the type and shadows from the old testament. The new testament is actually hidden in the old testament with things like Genesis 22:8 “God will provide himself a lambâ€. Or with Isaiah 28:11 “For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to his people.â€
I hope that was a clear enough answer.
How many foxes did Samson catch?
4 And Samson went and caught three hundred foxes, and took firebrands, and turned tail to tail, and put a firebrand in the midst between two tails.
He caught 300 foxes. That… is a lot of foxes to “catchâ€. I would like to see how that was done!
What did Elisha take up after Elijah was taken up in a whirlwind?
2 Kings 2:13
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
He took up the mantle. It was part of his portion.
