This one is going to be a little different. Each question will end with a question for you to participate in the comments with! This is something which may help with everyone who reads this to study for themselves and find answers.

Who can God hear?

John 9:31
31 Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.

So from the first part, we know he doesn’t hear a sinner. The second part shows us he hears those who worship him and do his will. So, how do you get God to hear you? Let me know your scriptural answer in the comments!

Why was Jesus manifested?

1 John 3:8
He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.

He was manifested to destroy the works of the devil. The question for this one is: what does it mean when he was manifested? Remember, scripture!

Where is confusion?

James 3:16
For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.

So if you see envying and strife, confusion is also there, along with every evil work. If this is the case, then who is the author and who is the creator of confusion? Show me scripture!

In John 21:15, Jesus asked Peter 3 times. The question is: why did he ask him those three times? -Josh

John 21:15-17
15 So when they had dined, Jesus saith to Simon Peter, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my lambs.
16 He saith to him again the second time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? He saith unto him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I love thee. He saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.

To understand this verse of scripture you need to understand what it means to love God. To love God is to obey his commandments from John 14:15, 21. God was asking Peter if he loved him. Peter said he loved him, so God’s commandment to him was, “Feed my lambs” the first time. The second and third time was to “Feed my sheep”. So he wanted Peter to feed his sheep twice as much as his lambs. Now my question is, how do you feed his sheep? Please use scripture for your answers.

Job was perfect and upright, why did all of the bad things happen to him? -Josh

Job 1:1
There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.

Among many other good things which God had blessed him with. So the question here is, knowing “he was perfect and upright” from the scripture, why did he lose everything?

Job1:5
5 And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

So, he had a concern for his children, hoping they wouldn’t sin and if they did then he gave offerings to cover their sin. So from my understanding, Job feared this may have happened. So he gave offerings continually.

And then what happened?

He lost it all it according to the rest of chapters one and two. The devils work of course.

Job 3:25
For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.

Job knew that which he greatly feared had come upon him, and that which he was afraid had come unto him. So, the direct answer to the question is: because he feared these things, these things happened to him. Now my question to you is, what are we suppose to fear?

What does Phillipians 4:13 mean? -Olive

Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Ok, lets dissect it:
“I” – meaning me
“can do all things” – can do all things
“through Christ” – through Jesus
“which strengtheneth me” – which strengthens me

So, all things which strengthen me I can do through Christ. I can only do all things through Christ, “only if it strengthens me”. And question for you: what is a good strengthener? :)

What does it mean when he was manifested?
An appearance of – Scripture for the answer

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Who is the author and who is the creator of confusion?

1 Corinthians 14:33 For God is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all churches of the saints.

From this we know God is not the author. Who else could be to blame? We do know he was the creator, because God created everything, right?

How do you feed his sheep?
The bread of life, the word of God.

What are we supposed to fear?
God, so he will come upon us.

What is a good strengthener?
Any godliness performed. :)

WOW Segment
This is the Wide Open Word segment. In this segment we go over the moments where people go WOW when they are reading the word or hear it preached. Things just start getting put together and then a chain reaction and before you know it someone is just lost in thought over the whole thing. Or something simple that clicks when you might have read it a thousand times but now it just makes complete sense.

Mark 9:17-29
17 And one of the multitude answered and said, Master, I have brought unto thee my son, which hath a dumb spirit;
18 And wheresoever he taketh him, he teareth him: and he foameth, and gnasheth with his teeth, and pineth away: and I spake to thy disciples that they should cast him out; and they could not.
19 He answereth him, and saith, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him unto me.
20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming.
21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child.
22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us.
23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
24 And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief.
25 When Jesus saw that the people came running together, he rebuked the foul spirit, saying unto him, Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.
26 And the spirit cried, and rent him sore, and came out of him: and he was as one dead; insomuch that many said, He is dead.
27 But Jesus took him by the hand, and lifted him up; and he arose.
28 And when he was come into the house, his disciples asked him privately, Why could not we cast him out?
29 And he said unto them, This kind can come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting.

What can we take from this?
1. The disciples had not been fasting. We can also confirm this by Mark 2:18

And the disciples of John and of the Pharisees used to fast: and they come and say unto him, Why do the disciples of John and of the Pharisees fast, but thy disciples fast not?

We also know Jesus had been fasting and praying because, well, he cast the spirit out.

2. The second thing we can take from this is: how much praying and fasting does it take to remove a spirit? How close are we to God?

3. Faith can do a work.
