Grab Bag, when praying it, gives wisdom of the baptism

Woot! It’s so exciting to get to the new Grab Bag!

So, here is the first question!

What is the purpose of Baptism?

Colossians 2:12
Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.

Acts 2:38
Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

John 3:5
Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The answer here is: to be buried with him, for the remission of sins, to be able to enter into the kingdom of God. If anyone would like a little further explanation about this, please let me know! On to the next question!

What is the fear of the Lord?

Proverbs 9:10
The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is understanding.

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Yes, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of “taking the facts and acting thereupon”.

How much are we supposed to pray?

1 Thessalonians 5:17
Pray without ceasing.

I don’t think a time frame can be put on “how much we are supposed to pray” from the verse given above. There could be exceptions for when we sleep. But even then, it’s still possible :) people have spoken to God in their sleep in the bible, so I really don’t see how it isn’t possible to pray without ceasing :D Well, the Lord spoke with Jacob in Genesis 28 if anyone else is curious about that.

Have you ever spoken to God while dreaming? :) Leave a comment of your experiences in prayer and with prayer.

If you have time to check out the Facebook and Twitter pages, then please do so. I want to get as much info out there as possible.
