The Law of Two Witnesses

The Law of Two WitnessesThe purpose of this Law is to show the truth behind a doctrine in a “proving manner”.

Here is the verse from which this explanation of the “Law of Two Witnesses” is based.

This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.

2 Corinthians 13:1

There must be at least two verses to affirm a doctrine (a teaching). Two which affirm the above verse would be Deuteronomy 17:6 or 19:15.

At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death.

Deuteronomy 17:6

One witness shall not rise up against a man for any iniquity, or for any sin, in any sin that he sinneth: at the mouth of two witnesses, or at the mouth of three witnesses, shall the matter be established.

Deuteronomy 19:15

The purpose is to show the two witnesses are necessary to prove something to be true or false. In this case a teaching from the Bible.

Understanding the “us” word and the Church

church I feel this is a pretty important topic because lots of people lump “everyone” into the “us” word when they read the scripture. We must understand who “us” is referring to when we read the scriptures. This definitely goes along with my last post “Who are the sons of God” because when it refers to “us” we should understand who “us” is.

This article will go over a few of the “us” scriptures and lay out the context so we know what exactly the scripture is talking about. We will also cover some verses which helps us understand why it is important we need understand the words we read and why we should study to shew “ourselves” approved unto God.

Ok, enough with the “quotes”.

First up!

We love him, because he first loved us.

Bible Study: Bad Behaviors

In this post, I want to talk about behaviors. However, I don’t really know how to start it off.

I think the main thing here is to understand what a bad behavior is and how it is removed.

How about we start with a scripture? That’s always a good start. These will help explain bad behaviors and what they are.

Revamp of this Blog and Podcast

I have been doing a lot of thinking and praying. I have come to the conclusion this website needs some revamping. In the coming weeks you can expect to see a few changes.

Things You Can Expect:

Weekly or Bi-Weekly Podcast
I haven’t decided if it will be weekly or every two weeks yet. Mainly because it’s tough to find time to get to this when there is usually someone awake and making noise. Those poses difficulty to create a clear quality podcast.

Weekly Blog Post
At least one a week kind of thing.

Grab Bag Revamp
Rather than once a week, make it once a month and maybe some other things.

More “teachings” of the word
Explanations. I will still incorporate the scriptural point blank answer but do some better explaining.

More Edification Posts
These posts will be for the building up of the person who is reading it. To edify.

Revamp the Header
I have been trying to think of a good idea for the header. I am tossing around some ideas. Anyways, colors and the layout may change a little as well.

This is what I plan to do. I have been out of this for a while because I have had my hands full with my daughter being born last October. The good thing is, she is finally getting on a schedule.

The Good News

Some neat information I think you may be interested in is, I have recently discovered this blog is ranked number one in Bing and Yahoo for the keyword “Apostolic Questions Answered” and also “Apostolic Questions and Answers”. It is also ranked number six and ten in Google respectively.

I shouldn’t really say this is good news, because it’s great news! I couldn’t believe it! Because of it I have been getting several questions. Thank God and I am so glad to be able to help some people find answers.

What else would you be interested in seeing revamped?

House grew two feet bigger

Word of the day, haitus.

Sorry for the long time between the last episode and this blog post. I have been pretty busy with the new one being around and haven’t been able to take time out to do much on here.
Baby Evelyn
Here is a picture of the new addition to our household :) We have been working on getting the schedule down and getting to the point of “normality”. Vanessa started going crazy the first couple of nights, which was expected, because of the lack of sleep. It was a good thing I had enough Vacation time to spend on them. I was able to take two weeks off to enjoy the family!

Baby Chance Chance was loving it! The one was an “adjustment”, two is like “what have you done to me”. So it’s taking a little long to adjust with. But we are making it! Hopefully, Lord willing, I will be able to get another Grab Bag and Episode out soon.

In addition to all of that, Brother Joe, Brother Eric and myself have been working on an iPhone app. Still in the process of figuring out all of the kinks. I unfortunately won’t be able to reveal anything about it because of the awesomeness of it. But I can assure you, it is pretty awesome-sauce-ness.

As always, let God be magnified!
