Grab Bag the one Lord from the beginning has the same power

It’s time for this weeks Grab Bag!

I got another question via email from KC, here it is:

What is the Gospel defined and how do you ”obey” it?

So Christ being the power and wisdom of God. Then the “power of God” unto salvation is the gospel.

1 Corinthians 1:24
But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to
the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

So, to simplify:

Christ = power of God = Gospel

So, they all equal each other.

Gospel Defined – is the power of God unto salvation.
Obeying the Gospel – obeying Jesus, because Christ was God manifested in the flesh (John 1:14) it would be obeying God. For those who don’t know, God’s name is Jesus. :)

This has been added to the Definitions page as well!

What was in the beginning?

God, and to give a few scriptures to back that up. Please keep in mind, these aren’t the only ones.

Genesis 1:1
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.

John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

1 John 1:1
That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;

God is the beginning, his name is Jesus. :)

How many Lord’s are there in the bible?

Deuteronomy 6:4
Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Ephesians 4:5
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,

One Lord is in the bible! :D

Did anyone know about any of these already?
